My name is Jason O’Brien and I want to make your renovation vision a reality. Whether its adding a new piece of furniture to your home, making your yard an amazing place to spend time in or creating a hand-made gift for that special someone, I want to be your go-to wood guy.

I have a degree in Industrial Design and have been a hands-on builder for twenty years. I have worked with a wide variety of materials, but wood seems to showcase sculptural creativity best. I have followed a career path that has led me to work on some amazing projects, from massive in scale and complexity to simple, fun and quirky.

I have worked in film as a carpenter, sculptor and props-maker. I am a project manager, cabinet-maker and custom furniture builder and have a passion for growing food.

I am the President of the My Own Back Yard Community Garden, in East Vancouver and have been a food security coordinator for the City of Richmond. I believe in building a strong community and knowing my neighbours.
